Every product we write about is bought at retail price and used in a normal household setting for at least three weeks before we publish. We do not accept free units from brands, and we do not run sponsored placements inside review pages. If a product was provided by a manufacturer, we say so clearly at the top of the review and treat it with extra caution.

Why do ratings differ from other sites?

Our scores reflect long-term use rather than first impressions. A rice cooker that makes perfect rice on day one but burns it by week four gets a lower rating here than on sites that test for a single afternoon. We also weight maintenance and cleaning effort more heavily than most platforms, because those are the factors that decide whether a product stays useful after a few months.

How do we handle products that fail?

When a product breaks or underperforms during testing, we document the failure with photos and notes, then publish the review anyway. We do not remove negative reviews to keep relationships with sellers. If a manufacturer sends us a replacement unit, we note that in the review and retest from scratch rather than assuming the new unit behaves like the first one.
